Abstract

This article discusses the importance of a leader's role in retaining a quality staff within an organization. In the context of human resources management (HRM), leaders need to understand and apply relevant theories to effectively manage human resources. However, in today's dynamic and rapidly changing era, the simplification of HRM theories becomes crucial. In this article, we propose a simplified approach to HRM theory that focuses on practical steps that a leader can take to keep staff. This approach is based on fundamental principles of HRM that have been simplified to be easily understood and applied by leaders. The steps include improving communication, fostering skill development and career opportunities, providing recognition and rewards, and enhancing employee well-being. By implementing this simplified approach, leaders can retain a quality and competent staff, improve employee retention, and create a productive and satisfying work environment. This means that leaders can play a central role in effectively managing human resources, with a focus on tangible actions that can be taken to retain valuable staff for the organization.
