The Relationship between Workload, Human Reources Planning, and Teacher Performance

Abstract

The competency of the teacher has a significant impact on the quality of education with regard to the learning outcomes characteristics. However, learning results are not inversely correlated with teacher competency and quality. This is due to the fact that teacher performance is a stage of results and is therefore connected with workload and human resource planning in addition to being seen from the competency aspect. The study in this article aims to examine the relationship between the level of teacher workload, HR planning, and teacher performance. The study was conducted using the method of literature study. The main literature studied is the results of research from Arifah, Saputra, and Wahyudin which are correlated with the approach of Law no. 14 of 2005, Government Regulation Number 19 of 2017, and Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 15 of 2018. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there is a close relationship between workload, HR planning, and teacher performance. The more proportional the teacher's workload and the distribution of adequate human resources for the needs of teacher personnel, the optimal teacher performance will result in optimal learning outcomes.
